Year in review – the year 2024 at SILADENT
For SILADENT, 2024 was characterized by successful partnerships, innovative new products and sustainable projects.
We further expanded our expertise and structures in the field of laser melting and focused heavily on digital innovations. Our aim is to always be up-to-date in digital, innovative technologies and to offer our customers forward-looking solutions.
Sustainability also played a key role. We are actively helping to conserve resources with two self-initiated projects. Of particular note is our entry into the recycling of isopropanol, an indispensable component of dental 3D printing technology.
Instead of just riding the sustainability trend wave, we are shaping the direction ourselves – with innovative and pioneering projects.
Here is a look back at our most important milestones:
Shareholder at 2oneLab – a strong partnership for the future of dental technology
We have been an official shareholder of 2oneLab GmbH since spring 2024. This partnership enables us to play an active role in shaping the digital future of dental technology. SILADENT is the exclusive distributor in Europe, while 2oneLab focuses on technological developments and production. Our “Sinterdays” events have inspired numerous interested parties throughout Germany and demonstrated the practical use of laser melting technology.
Introduction of DLyte systems – automated high-gloss polishing
Our new DLyte polishing systems are the perfect complement to the digital workflow, especially in combination with the laser melting process. Larger series can be polished efficiently and precisely, making production processes noticeably more efficient.
We not only distribute the polishing systems throughout Europe, but are also the exclusive distributor in Germany and Austria. Thanks to this advanced technology, consistently high surface qualities can be achieved without manual reworking – for perfect and reproducible results.
Focus on sustainability – recycling campaigns for dental technology
Sustainability and resource conservation were also on our agenda in 2024 – we are setting new standards in the dental industry with two innovative recycling projects:
– Isopropanol recycling: contaminated isopropanol from 3D printing with plastics (resins) is purified and reused by our partner Röben Recycling. This reduces the consumption of resources, prevents toxins and microplastics from entering the environment and makes disposal easier for our customers thanks to the simple collection of hazardous materials.
– Plaster recycling: With our “plaster recycling box”, we offer an environmentally friendly solution for collecting and recycling plaster models, thereby conserving natural raw materials.
With the milestones achieved and exciting projects in sight, we are now turning our focus to IDS 2025 – ready for new innovations and joint successes.
